WSU’s Brelsford Visitor Center, built with materials that embody Pullman’s history, has been awarded the annual Design & Build Forest Stewardship Council Award

As our society becomes more and more environmentally conscious, WSU is embracing its history and following sustainable practices in construction and design.

The Brelsford WSU Visitor Center was recently awarded the tenth annual Design & Build with FSC Award – an accolade based on the building’s use of materials from devastated forests – from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). Cindy Held, the visitor center coordinator, said that the award gives her a new appreciation for what the archi-tects and contractors went through when creating the building.
