The faculty, staff and students at CMEC would like to remember John Robert “Bob” Stillinger as a supporter and friend of the department.
Dr. Stillinger was one of the industry leaders who provided great support during the initial years of the International Wood Composite Symposium series — and expanding the symposium from strictly particleboard for the US and Canada to an International Symposium covering particleboard, MDF, and a multitude of new composite materials products.
Bob was a firm supporter of the Wood Materials Laboratory and generously funded the J.R. and Lois L. Stillinger Annual Graduate Student Grant at WSU for a number of years. This grant was used for students studying particle-board, fiberboard and composite materials.
