Before getting access to CMEC labs, Safety Training is required, both online and in-person. Every person working in the lab needs to complete the WSU Online training modules listed below. If you need access to PACCAR or the RTP, complete the additional training listed at the bottom of this page. After sending your WSU Online certificates AND the Safety Orientation Checklist to Joshah Jennings, you will be given access to the building and the labs your advisor approves. PACCAR has card swipes that utilize your Cougar Card and the RTP has physical keys that can be checked out to you.

CMEC Safety Training

To get access to PACCAR or the RTP you need to fill out a Safety Checklist. There is a separate Checklist for each building. Read the PDF Powerpoint as you go through the Checklist. Make sure you sign this Checklist, get your advisor’s signature, and then email it to Joshah Jennings.

PACCAR access:

  1. Print out the Safety Orientation Checklist (PACCAR), fill in your information, and check off the boxes as you read the PACCAR safety PDF.
  2. Sign the form, get your advisor’s signature, and email it to Joshah Jennings.

RTP access:

  1. Print out the Safety Orientation Checklist (RTP), fill in your information, and check off the boxes as you read the RTP safety PDF.
  2. Sign the form, get your advisor’s signature, and email it to Joshah Jennings.

After you have emailed these documents (WSU Online certificates AND the Safety Orientation Checklist) you can get access to CMEC labs and start your in-person training for the specific equipment you will be using. Remember, safety glasses are required at ALL TIMES in ANY lab, no matter what.
