You will also acquire useful tips and insightful perspectives that will help you build your career path. Hear stories from building industry professionals about their career journeys in structural engineering\, architecture and construction management.\n\nThere will also be lots of hands-on activities and opportunities to interact with the experts from Simpson Strong-Tie. Grab hold of an auto-feed screw gun and sink screws into steel and wood structural panels. Learn about how a new generation of structural fasteners are upending the old methods of making connections. Experience what it is like to impact-drive mechanical anchors into concrete and see how much load a fully cured adhesive anchor achieves when subjected to a pull test. You will witness a cross-laminated timber beam tested to failure and learn about specialized mass timber connection hardware.
